I'm a Cuban-American artist, designer and Printmaker.

I’m fascinated by traces of history embedded in the objects we use, collect and leave behind. My practice is rooted in memory, heritage, and material culture.

The Shop

My limited edition screenprints both engage with and preserve our past. They are contemporary artifacts — textural, abstract, minimal.

The Design studio

Winterbureau works with clients in the arts, publishing, and wine industries to CREATe Expressive, STORY-DRIVEN WORK.

Since its start in 2009 the studio maintains a balance of self-initiated projects, collaborations, exhibitions, and commercial work with organizations including The School of the Art Institute of ChicagoThe Museum of Contemporary Photography and Chicago Ideas Week

Previous to Winterbureau, I earned two MFAs in Visual Communication (2008) and Writing (2009) from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. My work has been exhibited nationally and internationally and is held in permanent collections worldwide.
